Twelve years, 300 births, one steady belief.
I came to birth work the usual way: my own first birth left me feeling like a passenger. Nobody had explained my choices, so I did not know I had any. I trained as a doula while my daughter napped, and I have spent every year since making sure other families walk in knowing more than I did.
I have supported home births, hospital births, planned cesareans, unplanned everything. The setting matters less than you think. What matters is that you understand what is happening and feel held while it does.

What I believe
Your birth belongs to you. My job is to keep it that way.
I do not have a preferred kind of birth. I have a preferred kind of experience: one where you understood your options, made real choices, and were spoken to with respect the whole way through. Everything I teach and every hour I am on call serves that.
